Critics Acclaim
Beautiful comic, incredible character development, nice artwork and what really amazes me is the dialogue, its nice to see how the author welcomed new characters this year and some of them changed their ways.
The story was complex and involving, every character had interwoven relationships with others, a good bit of history, and evolving arcs. I went into this comic thinking it would be ‘inoffensive’ (and not sure why it was rated M), and actually it was nice to see that skyangel isn't afraid to show some more explicit things and tap into more serious themes.
ll in all, I really like this comic. Every character progress, and every angle is looked at. It's a story not a strip so this is expected, but if we look at these comics like “products”, this one has a great overall package..
Simply Sarah was also the top nominee by popular vote.

I have to say that there are some really great presentations this year, and this one especially from RPGgrenade on what slice of life is all about, is really wonderful. When I first started on my comic I didn't even know of the term but from the beginning, it was in my heart to write a story based in reality where normal people faced real life situations in believable ways. I love films but I hate cliches so every time two guys hold up guns and shout 'drop it!/No YOU drop it!' I cringe and wish they hadn't done it. So as much as possible I write from my own experiences or gather what I can from the real experiences of others, using their words and thoughts sometimes too, to save guesswork and keep the whole thing as real as possible. As this presentation so nicely points out, it is a chance for us to present a situation and show it's effects from different perspectives. Thankyou to everyone for this much appreciated award.
