According to the Millerites who became the Seventh Day Adventist after their rapture and Apocalypse didn't happen believe that the world has gotten extensions due to belief and prayer. Great read is Apocalypses by Eugen Weber. The very first Christian's believed they were in the end times and the Roman emperor was the antichrist. But the doctrine of a rapture was rejected as long ago as Augustine. I've been studying this since Late Great Planet Earth by Hal Lindsay back in the 1970s.
Do we even know if anyone has been raptured? Enoch, Elijah and Muhammad ascended and were not "taken" or raptured. Maybe Jimmy Hoffa and Judge Crater and the crew of the Mary Celeste were raptured?
