Lindsay's Mighty Dreadful DE Filler!
dueeast on June 22, 2008
July 4, 2008 Update: Happy (U.S.) Independence Day! I'm at work today (yay, double-time pay!) but have family plans this evening. The next “serious” page for Due East is underway and will be online by next week. Have a great holiday weekend!
Original Blurb: And now, the conclusion of “Lindsay Week” in the Due East fillers! This idea hit me after Amanda from Salt The Holly commented that she'd love to see one of Lindsay's episodes from “Mighty Dreadful Multi-Colored Shapeshifting Warriors.” I thought, a Power Rangers parody? I can't pass that up! And I think this is probably my best coloring job to date…
Cameos, with permission, this time around are:
- Ian from Off Hours (David from Wolf) in his role as “Warrior Blue”
- Susan from Off Hours (Fenny from Devon Legacy) in her role as “Warrior Red,” the leader of the MDMS Warriors!
Btw, I first came up with the MDMS Warriors gag in 1996 in a superhero team comic I used to write and draw. In that version, the individual warriors had the ability to “morph” together into one huge female warrior called “Warrior White,” which was kinda cool, and avoided the whole robots thing.

I guess it's about time I answered some of these cool comments! DAJB: Shhhhh! It's still in negotiations with the network... I'll get back to ya on that one! amanda: Thanks. I'm delighted that you and others have enjoyed it. usedbooks: They're a lot of fun to do. trevoramueller: Thanks for the 5. Molly Loves the KLF: Much as I'd love to do more episodes of MDMS Warriors, I'm already doing a comedy along those lines in "Off Hours." It's fun stuff, though. Maybe someone else could do it...lol! TitanOne: Me, too! JustNoPoint: I'd love to see Fenny in DL with that hairstyle. I'm glad you liked "Susan's" cameo. She really would be the perfect leader of the Warriors (maybe that's why the producers of DL snatched her up for the Fenny role? hmmmmm!) D0m: Thanks! croxtonhas: Thanks for the 5.

Sweeet! Love the silly references to all kinds of t.v. shows and stuff!
JustNoPoint at 7:21PM, June 24, 2008
Whoa! Lookit that! I have to totally give Fenny that do! And thus ends the great Lindsay trilogy!
TitanOne at 11:56PM, June 23, 2008
...And I really like this "more Lindsay" thing. :)
Molly Loves the KLF at 10:24AM, June 23, 2008

I'd have watched it when I was a kid. Hell - I'd watch it now! Quick ... where can I buy the the 10-disc Director's Cut of the extended series (Redux), complete with alternative endings, out-takes and interactive sing-along game?!

Hahah! Ian looks so young and undiscovered here. You did an excellent job.
patrickdevine at 11:57PM, June 22, 2008
Is the Island of Hopeless Despair a They Might Be Giants reference? Because TMBG are awesome!
