My scanner died today. It failed in a few sections as I was scanning this image, but luckily it was small, and I was able to crop it. But it threw a wrench in my plans to make multiple pages this week. :-/
However, inspiration hit a couple days ago, and I wrote the next episode of Echoes. I like it as much as Double (which has been my favorite so far). Stay tuned.

Be glad that kitty-cat didn't throw up on the laptop. They don't survive that - the laptops I mean - and any data on them gets lost for good. Don't ask how I know. 🤢🤮😼🙄 My old scanner died with no human's or cat's involvement in any apparent way, but it warned me of its imminent demise by giving one half of the page a yellow tint. Guess that's what they mean by the yellow peril...

My laptop is starting to physically fall apart and not hold battery charge. -_- Still works (although the touch screen hasn't worked in a year). It's 10 years old.

My scanner has been acting up too. Coincidence? Secret plot by the commies? I think in my case it is a cable.

I am no stranger to cat puke. The scanner must not have been sealed very well. Of course, scanners designers don't normally consider vomit. But they should account for an occasional drink spill.

My cat threw up on my scanner four times this week. I think that's part of it. (But it hasn't been scanning all that well for a while.) Printer part works fine.
