Lydia is certainly a very entertaining, fascinating, and mysteriously intriguing character who pretty much steals the show on every page. I love the interaction with the butterfly in panel two as it suggests she is at one with nature but I did half expect to see it's crushed body dropping from her hand in the last panel too as a kind of 'fooled ya!' - I'm too cruel!
She's one of those people who seem to dominate the conversation even when they're not present. Hopefully I can maintain some of that mystique while introducing more backstory for other characters. The butterfly is as you thought a symbol for Amy, who will get to spread her wings as things progress. You'll be pleased to know she would never intentionally crush a living thing!
They really are! Thank you, I've done strips in trade magazines and contibuted to anthologies, but working in that industry is intense to say the least!
Maybe not a vampire triangle, but he could still find himself in a Triangle. And don't be careful. Just hold on to your hat because it's going to be a wild ride.
I paged back half-expecting to see KURT somewhere on that sarcophagus, which would have explained Lydia's choice of staking venue, but no. David is taking this very well. ★★★★★
That would have been the perfect twist if I'd thought of it! As it stands Kurt has never been to Elmwych and probably never heard of it. Even if he had would he really come all this way, just to win back some girl he only dated for a hundred and three years, two months, twenty three days, four hours, twenty seven minutes and a bit - slightly longer if you add that he doesn't accept they've broken up at all? Seems unlikely. 🙂
There might be one or two little details she hasn't mentioned (yet) but Amy is a very good friend to have. Honest, loyal, good sense of humour and she can speak with the dead. What more would you want?

seems more than a love triangle with the witch entanglement too
Ironscarf at 8:47AM, April 15, 2024
Gosh you're right, it's more like some kind of love quartet! Now if they can just find a good drummer...

Looking forward to seeing if the ex comes back into the picture. Keep smiling
Ironscarf at 5:33AM, April 14, 2024
Thanks yhosby, you too. The return of the ex is not in David's best interest, but it could make things interesting for the rest of us, so we'll see!

Not surprising that you've done some stuff - I guess the question of whether someone WANTS to work in the industry is another matter... x)
Banes at 6:56PM, April 8, 2024
Relationships - more perilous than vampires!! - also, dude have you ever published comics or worked in the industry? This is astonishing stuff!

That's the spirit, grab life with both hands and your hat too! With that hairstylle he should be well practised at hanging on to the latter.
plymayer at 4:40PM, April 5, 2024
Still, be careful.
Ironscarf at 4:56PM, April 5, 2024
Wise words. He really doesn't know what he's getting into here, but it's looking more and more like like a potential minefield!
Jamie59 at 4:18PM, April 5, 2024
David just think No Secrets might imply other sharing.
Jamie59 at 5:00PM, April 5, 2024
He's young. Just remember to Hydrate. Extra Iron wouldn't hurt ether.
Ironscarf at 4:53PM, April 5, 2024
It might, if the thought doesn't scare him to death!
marcorossi at 8:16AM, April 5, 2024
Trust your handling, David!
Ironscarf at 9:22AM, April 5, 2024
David's confidence is sure to get a boost now word of his handling has spread. Let's hope word doesn't spread too far.
PaulEberhardt at 7:29AM, April 5, 2024
There may come the day when he'll be glad about this last part. Just a hunch.
Ironscarf at 8:00AM, April 5, 2024
A hunch any bell ringer would be proud of - you are not completely wrong at all!
