Fusion Issue #2 Page 15

Here's page 15 of Fusion #2. And, for those wondering, you now have a basic explanation of her powers. Riveter is supposed to be checking a display on her forearm–hopefully that's clear from the pic.

Evil Acronym & EssayBee: Actually hydrogen bombs both do and don't use fission. They don't in a sense that fusion itself have nothing common with fission. They do because in practice we (humans) are using a fission bomb as sort of igniter to produce heat and pressure to start the actual fusion reaction. Also, fussion DOES produce radioactivity. Almost all energy produced in fussion is emited as hard gamma radiation. Almost none (relatively speaking) is emited in visible spectrum.

Now we have some idea of how her powers work. Neat!
Sariling Mundo at 3:41AM, March 13, 2010
Fused to her soul? Interesting... And kinda creepy.
manofhouse21 at 1:49PM, March 11, 2010
wow close call on the radioactive thing

Evil Acronymn--You're right, although she should put off trace amounts of radiation since she could potentially be viewed as a tiny, walking star. Chalk the "radioactive trigger" comment up to Savunn misunderstanding Mr. Electric's question. Thermonuclear bombs (hydrogen bombs) use fusion (and fission) and are much more powerful than fission-only bombs. She's thinking in terms of likening her powers to a thermonuclear explosion instead of a simple fusion reaction. Then again, I could be wrong about this, but that's my understanding of H bombs, in which case you can chalk Savunn's ignorance up to my ignorance.

You have a point, E.A., but since when does comic book science have to make real-world sense? ^ ~

Love the artwork, but I'm pretty sure nuclear fusion doesn't require a radioactive trigger. Radioactive elements are used in fission.

Ah interesting =D I wonder how Bob will take to being tested.
AzuJOD at 2:49PM, March 9, 2010
Ah, I see, the name "Fusion" works on more than one level. Clever!
Kroatz at 2:15PM, March 9, 2010
I just know some bad guy is gonna abuse the information she's giving them now...
SympleSymon at 10:25AM, March 9, 2010
...Just don't agree to any probes, Fusion!
RPGgrenade at 9:54AM, March 9, 2010
It's actually a lot simpler than i had imagined, but nonetheless, love the scientifically simple explanation of the powers, i hate it when they're left so ambiguous and not fully explained

Nice to have an explanation of her powers but I wonder at how smart it was of her to reveal the entity. Especially to one like Brooder. Oh well. She's young, naive and star struck. Who can blame her. And I just knew Brooder was too smart to fall for her ploy with Pharaohmoan!
alschroeder at 8:35AM, March 9, 2010
So if Brooder's Batmanlike, is Dr. Electric ReedRichardslike?
benjin at 8:11AM, March 9, 2010
Sometimes the good guys are the bad guys. Just a matter of point of view.
Loud_G at 7:45AM, March 9, 2010
uh oh, tests! Never a good sign :D

Awesome work...
