Fusion #4 Page 7
EssayBee on Aug. 30, 2010
Here's page 7 of Fusion #4. Even though Thermo's powers are fire based, looks like Fusion can burn a whole lot hotter–she blasted/melted the front of his suit off. But she has even bigger problems, and Captain Stupendous is the last person she wants to see right now.
Funny thing about this page is that Fusion's fiery hair gave me some problems this time. I've never done a partial turn like this where I've had to have her hair overlapping only parts of her body. Just that little bit overlapping her shoulder required 2 extra layers. Not difficult, but it caught me off-guard when I did her hair.

I think Bat-o-standin might yell at her a bit

Hopefully a passing hero doesn't see what she did, completely misunderstands the situation and then picks a fight with her.

Stupendous looks ... well stupendous in red....

@jamoecw : Unless of course it's extream movement on the targets part in which case it requires a full repositioning and scoping to reaquire the target. Also, positioning and targeting is crucial. Though it only takes a small movement on the snipers part to reajust for a small change in the target area, aquiring a new target area takes a hell of a lot more work due to explonential distancing arcs.

@smkinoshita: it takes very movement on the part of the sniper to compensate for a target's movement, moving the sniper is how one messes up a sniper's shot, not the target. if the sniper wasn't already firing his/her shot then fusion's move would work for the sniper instead of against.

Let's hope that Cap is a the forgiving sort. Especially when a bullet fragment is found.

To be fair, she did say "Get down!"

ya know, a sniper equipped with proper munitions and a decoy really is the best way to take care of a super hero. they have to come out of hiding to fight/save the decoy, and once they're in the open, bang. heck, under those principles what hero isn't totally boned?
coolclaytony at 4:16PM, Aug. 31, 2010
please dont let captain stupendous take it the wrong way it would be awful for her to not be a trusted hero so early in her crime fighting carrer, i should know i've seen it happen to quite a few vigilantes who could acctualy be considered heros. Kevin Demetre: killed by a police officer after a missunderstanding during a bust on a meth-lab. Carter Gibbins: rendered mentely retarded after having saved a woman from an armed robber due to her bludgetting him repetedly with his own alluminum bat (wich he used for self defence only)

xmung--Speaking of those little red dots . . . I know you wouldn't actually see the beam without mist or fog (and it's a clear night), but just a simple red dot doesn't look nearly as cool (or draw the reader's eye to it as much).
xmung at 12:52PM, Aug. 31, 2010
Sniper (to self): Curse those little red laser dots... they look so cool but they give me away every time!
smkinoshita at 11:04AM, Aug. 31, 2010
Thankfully it only takes a little movement to totally ruin a sniper's shot. The technique note was interesting. I actually use multiple programs to handle Super Temps -- do you have the full suite or just one program?

You do what you gotta do when you gotta think fast.

And hopefully he won't misunderstand and think SHE's attacking him...nyaahh, he doesn't seem like that type.

Hopefully she saved his butt in time.
