Here's page 11 of Fusion #4.
For those who don't remember, this is the date that Savunn and Shane set up back in the beginning of Issue #2.
Sorry about the late update. My parents are moving, and I spent most of this past weekend helping them move, so I didn't get to work on Fusion at all, thus the late update. This will be the only update this week.

I want one of those shirts. Anyone have a clue how to make them?
Ozmandious at 4:45PM, Oct. 24, 2010
that's has to be cool for our hero, but I'm sure Bob saw something she (or we) didn't. either that or he's over reacting. hard to tell with voices in your head...

Actually, a Superman comic shortly after the Doomsday fight touched on it briefly. It decided that Superman would be considered a public figure and therefore not subject to the same copyright standard. I forget the particulars (and am not a lawyer, obviously) but essentially vendors could sell stuff related to him for the same reason a President can't force people not to use his image on T-shirts and the like

i am pretty sure he donates the monetary settlements to charities. i guess the question of hero copyright is mostly based on how they fit into the law, superman is publicly accepted by government leaders, while say batman is not. thus batman's copyright is unenforceable (he isn't a legally recognized entity), while superman's would be, although superman himself has no legal standing for any of his actions, and thus would only bring more harm than good by personally enforcing his copyright or profiting from it (he is basically a good samaritan, once he accepts anything of value he opens himself up legally as a paid service). if the hero has some sort of legally recognized status then there is no reason why one couldn't enforce copyright (an example might be ironman, although i don't remember any of the mainstream comics getting into this at all).

Maybe there should be a Superlawyer to keep track of the merchandising. (Actually, there was a story, right before/during Crisis, in which we were shown Superman's lawyer, who keeps track of merchandising, licensing, sues those who would infringe on Superman's name for less-than-idealistic purposes...but he was an ordinary lawyer. I think he did it pro bono, but I'm not sure. My character has a super-memory, but I don't.)

Zolem--That's a good point. Now I'll have to be sure Savunn writes about merchandising AND various aspects of the Superpower Laws.
Zolem at 9:53PM, Sept. 16, 2010
Well since nobody is willing to step forward and claim that a hero identity is thier copyright, i.e. them, nobody can stop knockoff production LEGALLY.
EssayBee at 11:50AM, Sept. 16, 2010
darth paul--That's a good question. I'm sure there's merchandise, but most of it probably isn't licensed, although I'm sure there are some heroes who cash in on their celebrity. Brooder, Stupendous, and Riveter don't endorse any merchandise, but they don't sue to keep it off shelves either. Savunn may write about this in her blog soon, since it's something she should probably address.
darth_paul at 7:19AM, Sept. 16, 2010
I assume that there's already merchandise for the other heroes though right?

maycroft--Unfortunately, as you might've guessed, her date's about to be cut short. If you're looking to see more of her life as Savunn, Issue 5 will start a new story arc, and I hope to show a bit more of her personal life in it. You will learn a bit more about her (as well as some other characters), including the reason for her adoption. About the T-shirt . . . I suspect it was home-made rather than any kind of official merchandise. Probably make it all the more thrilling to Savunn. Regarding Miyazaki films . . . My personal faves are Mononoke and Totoro, although I have yet to see a Miyazaki (or Studio Ghibli) film that I haven't enjoyed.
maycroft at 3:55PM, Sept. 15, 2010
family comes first. man, I've been waiting to see the date part since this sterted. do they make those t-shirts in blue?
xmung at 12:56PM, Sept. 15, 2010
Ponyo was cute and Howl's Moving Castle had some great ideas but its Spirited Away and Princess Mononoke for me!
crimsonshaid619 at 12:32PM, Sept. 15, 2010
Not a fan of Miyazaki myself, though I didn't mind that one with the wizard and his moving castle thingy.
shirkersama at 11:07AM, Sept. 15, 2010
Princess Mononoke was way better than Ponyo and Spirited Away (though they were all great). Just thought that needed to be said.
Loud_G at 10:50AM, Sept. 15, 2010
