Fusion #4 Page 30
EssayBee on March 28, 2011
Here's page 30 of Fusion #4, and a glimpse of some of X-Pletive's backstory. More will be revealed in the future about X-Pletive and his dead brother Humanity, so X-Pletive fans can rejoice knowing that he is indeed a major character in the overall story. Indeed, these first 4 issues are what I call the “Welcome to My Life” introductory story arc, and many of the themes/characters introduced in these first 4 issues are important for the entire series.

Oops, re-re-re-read it, and just ignore my last comment. Reading things after a long day made longer with chronic insomnia makes things wonky. Just ignore me eheheh ^^;;;;

How cute, Expnonent think she's pretty.

Excellent atrwork. However, not to be picky, but in Panel 3, is the speech bubble supposed to be pointing at Fusion, and not to X-pletive?

I was listening to a linkin park while reading this page, and somehow I felt trapped in the atmosphere created my X-pelative's feelings. Awesome

this is going to suck! unless they are in cars, then it will just be kinda suck. the power of a criminal speedster can be scary, as in, the use a knife and mutilate you in a cyclone before you can even say 'hi'
dragonestea at 8:37PM, March 29, 2011
Oh goody! I get to watch X-pletive beat the living crap out of supers with my least favorite kind of power.

i don't know, i've read some that have had a set end point, and those that don't. those that don't tend to get cluttered with loose ends that never come around again. while those with a set end eventually get around to the loose ends. mindmistress has stories, that means it has a beginning and end with most loose ends tied up. yet there is always another story. also sometimes there is a set end, yet after the storyteller decides he/she wants to continue, and so does so. so a set end doesn't always mean an end, but generally it does mean a more coherent and complete story.

So, EssayBee. From your blurb there it sounds like you have a very definitive story line for Fusion, start to finish. And see, the problem I have with that all is that very last word, 'finish'.... Just hinting at an end of this comic makes me sad, even if it's many years in the waiting.

... It better not be like "Maus y Menos".... though I'd like to see that too XD

is this the first page with panels of X-pletive finishing a sentence not cursing? i think it is but not sure.
smkinoshita at 9:17AM, March 29, 2011
X-Pletive needs a temper-trigger word. Like Pumba (from Timone and Pumba, Lion King) and calling him a pig.

The reverse-flash family?

BTW, loved drawing Fusion in the latest page of CROSSOVERKILL. Now, if I could just do a page of drawing her in her non-glowing mode...
alschroeder at 8:56AM, March 29, 2011
Oooo. I'm doing a speedster in Mindmistress too---it'll be interesting to see how they differ. LOVE the hidden tragedy and mystery about Humanity---will love to hear more. --Al

Also, this description of X-Pletive's brother reminded me of Captain Britain and how everybody in Britain knew in their hearts when he died.

Speedsters? Like one speedster wasn't enough trouble.
