Here's page 40 of Fusion #4, and it looks like Lord might have one-upped Brooder. But the bad news for our heroes doesn't end on this page, so look for even more bad news next week (and the week after that).

Well, even if the bust was a bust, they have learned something: A law was passed that very few people knows about. Time to alert the newspapers!

Ah, some manipulative evil now!

hmmm, i guess when you go on a raid, better hope you can trust your buddies. if the raid was his idea, you might want to find out what is going on first. it is a good first lesson, doesn't look like she is going to get to far in over her head. could you imagine if part of brooder's plan involved fusion roughing up some bum, or kissing some strange men, heck even being captured for a few days might not be something she is willing to do. i don't think that brooder would do that, but how well do i really know brooder?

may be an illegal law, and since Supers are legal here they could shed light on the situation. Still get into trouble, but hey, omelets/eggs, right?

smkinoshita is exactly right about the legal vs. moral question. Plus, with Brooder, there's almost some ulterior motive, so you can pretty much assume that there's a lesson in this for Fusion (e.g., a morality vs. legality lesson, perhaps?). Indeed, the whole moral vs. legal debate will feature heavily in upcoming stories. Also, regarding an "evil" teammate . . . Earlier in this issue when Brooder took a blood sample from Thermo, he said, "She-Cat uncovered some information." She-Cat's not evil, but she is a sort of black ops type of a person (and created by and Copyright of Elysium Bliss).

Dude, law has nothing to do with whether or not someone is annoying. This is where it pays to have a token, loyal "Evil" team mate who will happily murder people like that. @dragonestea -- Pretty sure Fusion can smell a fishy operation like this. Legal is not the same as moral.
dragonestea at 6:43AM, June 21, 2011
Okay, this is supposed to be our smart hero? Rule number one: never bring a rookie to a grudge fight. Fusion is too much of a morally righteous person for a job like this.
