Here's page 7 of Fusion #6, and it seems Savunn isn't buying any of what Lord's saying. From what Shane says, it also seems that–before Issue #4–she had a much different impression of Lord.
I have to admit that I don't like the 'dear reader' bit. That may be a hold over from a series of lousy books I was forced to read in school that did the 'dear reader' routine while at the same time I was reading Roger Zelazny at home...
I'm with Escutcheon on this one. There's believing in a media darling and then there's BELIEVING in a media darling. you may not have meant to, or you may have but this page give you the opportunity to do several interesting plot lines dealing with Shane and Savuun. That's the fun thing about writing a story. you never know what the characters reactions will unintentionally reveal. Course whether or not you do anything with it... well I'll just have to keep reading :)
Escutcheon--Lord is a media darling. Lord Industries is known for their work in pharmaceuticals and disease treatment. He's a billionaire philanthropist, donates generously to both big political parties, and also does all sorts of tech work, which is touted as saving lives and making life safer and more secure. He also has top-notch PR, so pretty much the whole world knows all the good he does--and he is regarded very highly by the public, as evidenced by Shane, and the fact that even Savunn thought he was great until that little encounter back in Issue #4.
EXCELLENT page going on here... the pane of the masked avenger as she must stew and not reveal the truth to the heathen non believers. Also a great way to break away from the super-hero realm for a bit.
Forgive me for entering uncanny valley, but what will she do about Bob when enevitably gets into a sexual realationship? I'm just saying; it's an elephant in the room, hiding just behind the couch, screaming profanities at the readers like a tourretts victim.
giovanni--We saw Shane in Issue #1 (where they talkand hit it off), in Issue #2 he asks her out (granted you don't see him--he just talks to her on the phone), and their first date is in Issue #4 (which gets interrupted).

Curious that Shane seems almost adamant in favor of Lord. I suspect that something interesting this way comes.

Good thing Bob was there to help before she royally screwed up.

Nero Angelo--I'd have to agree, but at least he was somewhat helpful here.
