Fusion can outrun the heat seeking missiles and lead them back to the choppers. Problem solved. It was an unfortunate equipment malfunction. She could also melt the rotor blades and see how well they crash land.
zgrssd: So what? She can fly around the heat-seekers in circles. And they will probably detonate in that trail she have behind her. But about that decision to not kill anyone ... I think she will destroy several of those copters by mistake when evading something else. Also, it's possible they have some special anti-superhero weaponry.

mhalpern--Darmar isn't really a third-world country. It has a decent military for its size--maybe a little over half the size of Syria's military.

Doubly bad if you main power is "having the highest temperature for a few thousand miles". I guess they are packing heat-seekers.
