Fusion on Hiatus for October

EssayBee on Oct. 13, 2020

Hi, everyone. The past two weeks have been really rough, and they've sucked a lot of the creative energy out of me. Two weeks ago, my work–due in part to the toll COVID has taken on academic publishing–laid off a number of folks in my department, including someone I supervise, as well as many others I've worked with for over a decade and consider friends. Then, last week, we lost one of our cats to a fatal asthma attack, where she died in my arms while I first tried to give her her steroids, and then tried to resuscitate her to no avail. Both of these horrific incidents just kind of drained me, and I've decided to take the rest of the month of October off from posting content.

Not to worry. My enjoyment of telling these stories has not diminished, and the thought of stopping has never crossed my mind, so both Fusion and Dude and Distress will continue in November. This is just a pause for me to get in a more positive frame of mind.
