This 960px width limit has been established here on purpose around 2010 or so, when the Duck was redesigned to its current appearance, by the company that had bought it. With screen formats and resolutions back then their programmers probably thought that enough. None of us really liked it then, and pretty much everyone still doesn't, so I'm quite sure we'll get our freedom of page dimensions back in the foreseeable future. Before that, there was no size limit in any direction I can remember, but I can remember experiments with side-scrolling pages here, even. I think it all depends on when there are enough funds to give it the new design update that has already been in the works for years and tested and largely approved (preview here: https://next.theduckwebcomics.com ). On a site run and financed just by its community everything tends to take a good while, but we'll get there eventually and have a say in it, too (redesign thread: https://www.theduckwebcomics.com/forum/topic/179631/ )
Carl clearly takes his peacekeeping job seriously. Thanks for the link! I can manage to read the text over here, but the letters in the large version do strain my eyes decidedly less.
Carl. Classic small town cop.
Re: image link: Of course. I did see if there was a way to modify the HTML or something but its a Duck-wide issue that they are hoping to modify/fix in their next big update within the year I saw on the discord. Breaks my heart as sometimes I really do enjoy/dig getting Nil to do these double pages.
Thanks for reading our comic! :)
