After a couple weeks effort, I'm happy to show you… one page! Total people who missed the comic: zero!! lol. ^_^
Art: I'm kinda happy with this page because of couple reasons. But the main one is that no filters were used. Even though the background looks a little muddy and faded, it's because of the colors I chose. Which means I have a better understanding of color than I did before! All those youtube tutorials are starting to pay off! :)
I should really list the most influential youtubers that helped me get to this point, but I can't remember them off the top of my head… there were many… I could look in my youtube history, but that would take more effort than I'm willing to do right now. I can only think of https://www.youtube.com/user/marcobucci at the moment since he's the mot current. Also Justnopoint has always been a big influence on me as well https://justnopoint.com, I also like Francis Manapul https://francismanapul.com/, mostly because he's self taught and he makes me feel like I can do it too! I think of Francis' journey when I'm getting a little down on myself in terms of coloring.
Story: I have to be a bit careful, because when we are discussing the characters between mlai, jnp and I, we usually refer to them by their FIGHT names, but some characters we haven'r figured out names for we refer to them by their real names from the source material, which is as you should all know, is usually from an 80s cartoon. But you know with all these 80s revivals, it might not be relevant to keep the characters we're using a secret. Oh well let's just say it's part of FIGHT's charm to not openly name these characters… back to the drawing board!
