The heavens themselves objected to me getting this page done on time. First throwing the usual random events in the way, and when that has only limited success, striking me down with a stomach bug! Still, better now and with page in hand! Yay!
I was actually going to make this page even more of a manga pastiche and put the sound effects in Japanese as well, but I'm pretty sure somebody's bound to complain just ‘cause I’ve put one line of non-plot important Japanese in the comic. Gimme a break, I have a degree in Japanese, I have to amuse myself somehow! If you really need to know, the line reads ‘omaera-!’ (oh-my-eh-raa) which best translates as ‘Oi, you lot!’ The equivalent english just wasn't as funny, appropriate or in character somehow. I say ‘in character’ because I'll be really surprised if anybody doesn't know who that is, hahahahahahahaha. It was pretty fun to make a page that's full of samurai manga clichés. If the comic wasn't set in early autumn, there would be cherry blossoms, haha.

Hmm, take a shot now if somebody hasn't read my comments, doesn't get the joke and complains in a comment about the Japanese being there in an Englis comic or that the page is clichéd….
