I think pretty much all the readers ‘called’ this one hahaha. In Fenn's defense, he wasn't around when Subo got shot earlier, and was just told that one of the knights was ‘killed’, he wouldn't automatically guess that the same knight had regenerated and come back when the more logical explanation would be ‘a different knight came along to replace the dead one’. From what he's seen of Subo so far, the guy is just Rekki's hippy sidekick… It's still not a wise decision, but that's entirely Fenn's problem; he's a short-sighted character who doesn't consider any of the possible repercussions of his actions.

There will be no update this Weds. I have a three-day workshop and will be away. Ah, the life of a freelance artist haha!
