This isn't a copout. I swear. Really. Okay, fine, I'm studing for APs! Actually I did the one panel purposefully. I'm a sucker for dramatic black-and-white-single-panel-and-text type things. Tite Kubo is my manga god. ALL BOW BEFORE HIM!
I felt bad for such a low quality page, and I was planning on posting the chapter 2 title page tomorrow, but I haven't got it done yet. Oh well, get used to the melodramatic last chapter page, I'm probably going to be using it again.

I love the fact that you give us great quotations every day. They are great, but its also driving me nuts! This is because the word isn't "quote" its "quotation". Quote is a verb, quotation is a noun. I had this pounded into my head every day when doing collegiate speech/forensics/debate. Now I go around correcting everybody (its my pet peeve). I'm sorry that I commented on it, its just driving me batty.

Kind of artistic here!

aye, the character swapping works both ways. For example: I needed a character design for Kyle and got to use one of Cerise's folks for it, but as she said, with out drawing styles being so different, all that really stayed the same was the hair.

RE Mina: No problem! Anyway, here are some answers to your questions: (1) There are a couple different reasons why they guard the sword. One is that it's a holy relic. It was supposedly given to Liam's ancestor by an angel, so you don't exactly want to melt it down. There's been several cases in history where holy relics have been stolen from churches and such, so they needed someone to watch it. Two, it's been 1000 years so guarding the sword has turned into being more of a tradition than a precaution. Three, there was a part in the legend where it said an ancient evil will arise, so they need to make sure the sword is in check. And four, they get helluve money from people, if you see the kind of place they're living in. ;) (2) What's up with all the one-eyed chicks? I'm sure there are suspiscions, but if you're thinking Daidaishar and I have some weird fetish... you'd be right. Naw, I'm just kidding. Basically, I needed a childhood friend for Liam, and Dai was like, "Oh, well, why don't you use Joan?" So I did. So, basically Hadiyah IS Joan. You will find that we share a lot of characters, but we just change their names. The only problem is that our art styles are very different, so other than hair and other blantant character aspects (i.e. eye-patches) the characters really don't look much alike. So I can see where the confusion may lie. (3) yeah, I tend to get really lazy a lot of the time. I'm working on fixing that. (4) I also love the facial tatoo, thanks!

I love the dramatic composition. But writing on money is vandalism of government property.

Sorry that I haven't gone through your comic prior to this, Cerise! Thoughts: (1) Why do they need to guard the sword at all? Granted, it can kill dragons, so I assume that it would be equally good at slicing and dicing an armored tank, but what damage could one swordsman do against an army? Seems like if they really wanted to keep the sword safe they could just throw some cheap electroplating and glass gems on it and make it a complete tourist trap. Try the "Purloined Letter" trick, you know? (2) Yay for happy endings for random dudes! But, er, what is it with you and daidaishar and one-eyed chicks? Is there a reason behind this statistically significant proportion of eye patches? (3) It seems as though you are very good at expression and backgrounds when you care. What I mean is, it feels as though some pages are just pushed out as quickly as possible so you can get on to the next page. (4) That is a kick-ass facial tattoo!
