Sanny was designed when I was still goofing around with this comic. I was filling the role of “April's Friend” and needed both a name and a hairstyle. I pretty much stole both from the character “Sanary” (Or Sanare) from the game Summon Night: Swordcraft Story (Which is like Tales of Phantasia on crack in a good way)


Sanny differs from Sanary in a lot of ways, though. Sanary isn't terribly strong (though she's practically the last boss) and enjoys wearing dresses and frilly outfits, if unwilling to admit it. After her identity crisis, Sanny wouldn't be caught dead in a dress

Sanny's last name “Clarkson” was based on her strength. Anybody know any “Super” strong Clarks out there?

Sanny was designed to be a strong-girl character. Strong girls are everywhere in anime, but not a lot of them have a buff body to back up said strength. Sanny is kinda my rebellion to it. Not only is she supernaturally strong, but she also looks that strong. She has some odd habits, like not liking to show her cleavage (not that she stands a chance against April) and prefers to show the exercised parts of her body (her stomach and arms).
