Stage 01, page 04

Sorry about the craptacular backgrounds in some of these panels, but I will admit, this page was something of a rush job (especially since I had to go to work, a doctor's appointment and I ran out of ink in the production of this page, and so had to go get more).

This brings me to another point: money. Yes, I know. We all hate the topic. This doesn't change the fact that producing this webcomic comes out of my meager wages (as previously mentioned), money and resources that could be spent elsewhere. I figure that it costs me ~$60-$100 to make a chapter, and most of my time. This is just in the cost of supplies and minor tool repairs/replacements. The sad reality is that if I can't at least break even, 2170 will have to go on indefinite hiatus, if not just end. I don't want that to happen, but it seems to be the situation I find myself in. If you feel that 2170 is worth your time and want it to continue, I strongly suggest emailing me (ares2170@gmail.com) and offer to make a contribution. If enough people offer, I might be able to afford a P.O. box or something for people to send their contributions to, so I can continue writing this story (which is very important to me).

Another way you could contribute is by spreading the word, get more people to read it (or better still, get someone with influence in the comic book industry to take a look). It's probably safer than sending a stranger money, and it won't cost you anything, either. I'm sorry if I'm coming off as desperate, but please don't let 2170 die if you think it's any good.
