Based on that one time, i had a adobe illustrator assignment. For a whole school day (it was a rough one). A lot of respect for people who are good at digital art.
Learning at your own pace is so much better than being tutored. I bought my first copy of Photoshop at a garage sale and just played around with it at my leisure and the first two days I couldn't even work out how to draw a line! But the really nice thing is that most of the icons are universal so once you discover how 'layers' work etc all other art progs work pretty much the same way.
You seem to be following a similar path to me now going from physical inking to scanning and then cleaning up digitally which is what I do.
Yeah i too have been doing better with art program at my own pace. And yes i do first sketching/inking physical, scanning afterward. Than i do som cleaning up digitally before posting the strip. Cool to hear you do so as well.
