Layla: “Jacob, Travis! You guys know Superior Sam from those tapes your father and I showed you? Well he needs our help!”
Jacob: “Huh?”
Travis: “He wants our help? Really?!?”
Layla: “Yes! You see, the evil U.S. Government found him in his hiding spot in Sokovia, and trapped him behind power-canellonium bars.”
Jacob: “B-but… Superior Sam isn't real…”
Layla: “Jacob, how many spankins do you want?”
Jacob: “None, Mommy!”
Layla: “Then don't even pretend this is a grounded enough universe to say superheroes don't exist and relate to the readers!”
Travis: “Mommy, you said no meta humor in the house!”
Layla: “There are things adults can say that children can't.”
