So much for the imp facepalm. Alas. Poor fella, though. One crisis on top of the next. To be fair though, he brought that last one on himself. I sincerely apologize for the nature of this comic. Though it probably was worse in my head, when I forgot the actual words and thought it said “arson phase,” which I feared some might take offense to, given that today's… y'know… It came off alright though, I guess. I swear, I didn't know this would go up TODAY. In fact, the original draft called for the predecessor for the imp - an orb of light - to have supposedly burned them when he bounced about in fits of joy. Y'see, I originally wanted a light mote of sorts, but SOMEBODY had to spoil the fun and point out that there are no such beings in the entirety of alchemy. Elementals, yes. Homunculi, yes. Imps, yes. Little balls of light with eyes? No can do. So, I switched to something that may present a closer feel to real alchemy - and some actual physical interaction. It did, however, make this joke obsolete, so I had to change it. Anyway, did I mention in the first week that I'd only be coloring the series that first week, then simplifying colors? Yeahhh… I decided against something different. You can already tell, but it'll become even more relevant next week. Just a note beforehand - that desk IS gray. That's its normal color. Why anybody would like a gray desk is beyond me, but it's important to know that, since now that I think of it, I should have made it brown. But I originally planned it as a table, and I was sick of seeing brown (stupid EpicSaga and its pseudo-medieval scenery). Incidentally… for a small idea of what the Imp would have been if he was an Orb, check this week's EpicSaga. It's in a cage. Poor little orb.

Ahhh, the pyromaniac phase. Truly one of the parts of youth that never really leave you, just hibernate deep within the soul.
Bocaj at 8:22PM, Sept. 11, 2009
lol nice
Xiam at 6:41PM, Sept. 11, 2009
...It does sound a bit dodgy. XD Yeah, I went through a phase too. Put some burn marks on the table that was in my room, from that. Luckily nothing got too bad. ^_^;
Little Swan at 8:06AM, Sept. 11, 2009
And that, imp, is why you never have a pyromaniac stage. (Though to be honest I also went through a phase of oooh, let's watch fire! But it never went past looking at bunsen burners or odd scraps of paper haha.) I don't think you should worry about saying arson because of the date. Maybe it's just 'cause I'm not American but I'da thought most people would have moved on by now. Pyromaniac phase sounds better though. Poor Andy with his lack of orbs. Wait... that sounds dodgy 0_o
