And now we meet Dark Matter and the earlier mentioned Illuminefar. We also get a couple clues as to what these characters roles are, and what this “master plan” might be about.
All the members of The Lemniscate Society appeared at the very end of Bad Guy High, but long time readers might recognize Dark Matter from even earlier than that. It's not necessary to have read BGH or anything else to understand this story, but I love throwing in continuity connections when appropriate.

The continuity connections are what make this more than just a great story. We, or I at least, love those little associations that make this feel like a living world. They also show how much care and attention you give to the story, and that is well appreciated also.
