57 - George the Dragon: Speedy Mob Tours
Loud_G on May 15, 2008
Greetings everyone!
I know, I promised two bonus comics this week, but the second is going to have to come mid, next week due to some crazy time constraints I had :D
This one was a lot of fun. It is also very experimental. I hadn't tried one like this ever before.
All the artwork is by me, even the backgrounds. That is my normal type of art, my normal style, if you will. I am not nearly as good at drawing dragons as I am at drawing buildings and scenery. So you finally get to see what my true level of artistic-ness is. :D
Hope you enjoy today's comic! Everybody loves a chase scene :D

Beautiful background renderings LoudG. I love this Page, experimental or not. I digg the small angry crowd chasing them every where.Ha!

Funny! :D The speedy tour and the angry mob were hilarious. And the pencilled backgrounds indeed look great, you do have a knack on medieval architecture! You should try shading George like that, sometime.

smkinoshita: Thanks man, you know, you are right, I hadn't thought of that. Kinda reminds me of the Black Beast of AAUUUUUGH section. That was totally not intentional. :D amanda: Thanks. :) Just imagine all those cobblestones and a tub on wheels. Oh the jouncing and the splashing that is sure to ensure :D

Cute! Gotta love it! The pencils, characters, and the way the mob falls all work together in a sort of Monty Python/Terry Gilliam sort of way!

Those are fantastic backgrounds - the steps near the dungeon are especially fine. Great work! I want to visit places like that and be pushed around in a tub! Ehhh, scratch that last part.

D0m, Thanks :D I wish I was as good a cartoonist as I was an architect. Midge, Thanks, I love to design buildings. All of these sketches are from my head (except the tower in the first panel, which is, in fact, a real tower at the University of Maryland. Usedbooks, Escher is my hero, I thank you greatly for the comparison :D Doc, It's the simple things in life that bring us joy. :D

Love it! I've seen all these sketches, and I even thought "man, why did he google all those places and paste them in there?" It's the highest form of compliment to have people think your drawings are photos, or classical drawings. Also, it's very funny! I love how they're chasing them around.

Very nice art. I'm impressed. (I was hoping they stumbled into Escher, though. XD.)
