60 - George the Dragon: Hard Boiled

Hello again dragon enthusiasts!

Here, once more, we get a bonus page in celebration of something. And what is that something? Why…its George's fourth birthday! You may have thought that him blowing ‘out’ the candles was his birthday, but noooo…..that wasMY birthday :D George started life four years ago! I can hardly believe it.

For those of you who may not know, George was created on my first week back to work from my honeymoon in Cancun. I drew him as a once a month (or once a quarter) comic strip on my dry-erase board at work. This was very well received by my coworkers and they would always ask what was next (back then George didn't have any story arcs, it was more of a sit com).

So the first 20 strips were done in marker (which, let me tell you, is a wholly unforgiving medium, you have to worry about smudging with your hands, clothes, and even the markers) I enjoyed doing the marker strips but they required so much effort and on-the-job time, that I could not do more than say once every 3 weeks. I do still dabble in the markers, because it is sad too have an empty dry-erase board, but as you can tell, George has been digital for 2/3 of all the strips he has been in. It means that I've been able to crank more out and keep to a solid update schedule. :) (People at work were always complaining that I didn't update often enough with the markers) So now I use my tablet and print out the strips and put them in a big binder which sits on my desk for my coworkers to read :D

So, wow, more than I intended to write! Back to the main issue! George is four years old! Happy Birthday!!!
