140 - George the Dragon: Hunger Level
Loud_G on Jan. 7, 2010
Good Morning,
Some of you may recognize this gag. If you have read through the whole archives. I want to assure you that I am not simply ripping off my own earlier work. I have been working on redoing a lot of the old strips for a couple of reasons.
A: to make one solid product across all of the pages,
B: the art back then was really shoddy :D (original, but shoddy)
C: and this is the main one:
It is my goal this year to publish (self publish if necessary) a book of George the Dragon comics. I've come to the point where I think I have enough material for a small book. I want to do it in color and have it include the best strips to date. I may include a bonus section with a homage to George's humble origins in the world of markers. (I still like the marker comics, but time does not permit, and I always felt that the medium was holding me back ((I still do work with the markers from time to time, don't worry usedbooks ;) ))
So, I have been in the process of redoing a lot of these to that end. Most of them I have surreptitiously put in place over the old ones without telling anyone (if you look back through the archives you may notice (specifically near the beginning)).
I thought I'd let you all know that now. I have not run out of material, fear not. Next week's comic should be brand new, never before seen George Goodness. :)
Also, this was always one of my favorites over the years. I thought it fitting :)
Enjoy!

If it is for the greater cause, sure! I'll bring as many nachos as I can.

I remember that one. I miss the old one-panel gags. Those were the best. ^_^
