Late in the day, but still ON the day ~
You're lucky it was weekend tiem. If it wasn't weekend tiem, this wouldn't be finished.
I quite like this page though - I love how Rainer turned out right from the moment I sketched him, and I'm happy with my new shading technique. It's a lot faster, looks better, and makes things a bit more accurate!
I've also tried out this idea, oddly enough, inspired by my art class - we were looking at the artwork of Roy Lichtenstein, who uses tones a lot, and I wanted to try that out, so I thought I could use it to represent flashbacks/memories! YAY~
And yes, the page number disappears for this one 8D

Oh, now that you mention it I think I do know who he is. Of course that just makes this whole thing more complicated to me.

Of course, Steely Gaze, you WOULD complain about the gun! (You do it with movies, you do it with cover art for books, and many other things besides.) ;) *lol* I thought this was a bloody brilliant page! The toning effect is really neat, and it really works for it...Or at least, I think it does. :) And Rainer came out perfect--I'm surprised at how close he seems to be in the middle. I have trouble centering my pictures. ;) 5 from me!!! Heck, I'll give you some extra 5s, since Steely took my official one. *lol* ;) 5 5 5

This page=amazing. It's like a painting, seriously. The level of detail is astonishing, the placement of everything perfect (especially Rainer and his expression of near total anguish), and I also love the dialog. In fact, the only thing I could possibly complain about is the gun the man in the bottom right is holding. At least, I assume it's a gun.
