Just so you all know - Gnoph is NOT meant to be a horror/creepy story. It just sorta ended up that way. I really was trying to write something a touch silly. I mean, what could be sillier than talking to your own parasite? So stick with me through the bloody bits and I'll do my best to haul everything back towards a more whimsical bend.
Also I can't keep updating as frequently as I have been, so I'm going to be cutting back. I don't know when or how often, but there's your warning.
And hopefully things are a touch clearer now on this page. Takahashi is freaked out, of course, but more because she shot a GNOPH than because she shot a PERSON.

So very very very interesting! God...I love this. My insides are tingling, just on the edges, the culture of this world is killing me with how interesting it is! Damn you sociological training!

Oh, Takahashi, your wacky trigger finger has done it again. I'm assuming. I love the backward pinwheels in Will's eyes; creepy.

Kaj I love your art. Your story is so moving and awesome. And gory and terrible and awesome. And sad and horrible and awesome. And I love it.

2nd thoughts: I wonder if the Gnoph are treated like royalty or some top-secret hush-hush thing in the military.

God you're so awesome! You update so much and have so much quality to your pages! Congrats Top 25 Most Read Stories on DD Gnoph's #5!

Wow, so having a Gnoph makes everything different to her? This is turning out to be exeedingly interesting! Just love that unique beland of watercolour and computer colour. ^^

Oops. No, Oberon, that isn't a deliberate change in Will's eyes. It's just me forgetting my own character design. Tony likes cigars, corned beef sandwiches, and giving Takahashi a hard time. I think he might be sweet on her. Tony is not important to this story, but I suppose he could be someday. . . I'm glad the general concensus seems to be that Gnoph isn't getting too melodramatic or creepy. I figure so long as "Jump" still makes ME twitch I can't get any darker than alejkhan! (what, you don't get that ref? Go read it and get nightmares!)

I love Will's dialogue in the second to last panel. He amuses me to no end.

Bugs in my body are all right as long as I can talk to them. And I have regular access to food. :3 Ha. Poor Takahashi.

So, Gnoph hosts are higher on the chain than normal humans, gotcha. Ooo~, Takahashi's in sooo much trouble. I don't see how you can have parasites in a comic and NOT have it turn out creepy. Bugs in my body scares the hell out of me.

I like the horror/creepy thing you have got going. Not many god horror comics around. I guess the silliness amoung the blood and parasites is what makes it creepy.

We never really met him, but I'm beginning to like Tony. . . he takes things in stride and tells it like it is, apparently. And he can make Japanese-English puns, which makes him clever in my book.

That last panels is the truth

I'm honestly surprised Will has the energy resources to hold up a shield right now. And a little blood in a story never hurt anyone...
Oberon at 2:12PM, March 7, 2006
oooo... his eyes are all cross-like. Spiffy, except this time they're black eyes with green/blue crosses and when abbey is teaching him about gnoph-ism, they were green/blue eyes with black crosses (page 411). Curious if this is am intentional thing, or just an accident... And btw, I really like where your art has gone from way back then. Very spiffy shift. well, I guess I actually have to go write this damn paper I'm procrasinating on...

You know, I rather like Gnoph how it is. William, William, William, you poor Gnoph-infested, bleeding soul.
gothic_badger at 1:52PM, March 7, 2006
Indeed- I think I understand this part better now. Shame about the cutbacks but I'm sure its for the best.
