Not Logged In: I always buy watercolor blocks, so I don't have to bother with taping and the pages are forced to lie quite flat, even under pretty heavy washes. Otherwise I find that I have to scotch-tape the things to my desk.
Throgmorten: Now I have the Cole Porter ditty "Experiment" running through my head. . .
Maybe it's just me, but there's this one picture of Isaac Newton that looks /just like Abbey/.... it's a bit frightening. O_o
Oh, watercolor paper. I have a stack of that somewhere... I've never used it. Perhaps I should experiment sometime. And this is neat, to see what colors you use...
Ooops! This was not the page that was supposed to update today. The page that should be here is the last page of the chapter. . . and that's back at home on my laptop. So, erm, the page that should have been up today will be up tomorrow.
And: ejb: I'm already noticing some differences (besides just the price), but I'm hoping to cut down on page warping since I'm using more watercolor.
Jenshin: Dirty mind. But you're right!
Krae: I like trading techniques. Everyone on DD seems to have some little way of drawing or doing a page that it would be fun to learn - I know I've learned piles about how to put a comic together just by studying other people's comics and pages like this.
Hurrah for character reference sheets.
I really like the watercolor skintones you've been using lately (not that marker and pc didn't look good, too). You've done a great job on keeping the tones consistent.
Watercolor paper can be quite cool, but certain kinds don't take to ink so well. Ink washes and such are fine, but sometimes ink straight out of the bottle will go crazy and bleed. I've had traumatic experiences.
It's neat when you give us sneak-peaks! Like that one a while back with the hair tutorial, and then the "comic in process". Oo, and how can we forget the wash examples? Awesomeness, have fun with the watercolor paper!

Everyone teases the poor Hooker's Green. . .

Does that bottom left one say "Hooker's Green"?
