Aspirations:

role models- Matilde E. Moisant (Sept 13, 1878 – Feb 5, 1964), was an American pioneer aviatrix. She was the second woman in the country to get a pilot's license.

She was a exhibition flier, and while competing against Hélène Dutrieu, Moisant broke the women's altitude world record and won the Rodman-Wanamaker trophy by flying to 1,200 feet.

It was because of an article on her that I posted her info to a web board I frequent and there started a list of historical women which inspired me to do these aspiration peices beneath each comic.

Our world needs more rolemodels and words of wisdom. I know I do it in part for something my neice can look to and be inspired by.

So as you read these, imagine who you could be, look up information on who they were and hopefully you too will be inspired.
