Good Guy #8 Back

Welcome, everyone! Although I've been posting comments on a variety of people's comics for some time, I'm guessing that a recent spike in pageviews was due to my comment on New Nation. This was not my intention. But because of this fact, I find it necessary to address some issues.
Yes, I am a Christian, but yes I do have a sense of humor! Read my archive or Heck, look at the comic on this page! For the most part, my jokes are very cheesy or satirical. I'll be busting on a bunch of things with Good Guy. I can even be pretty morbid and gross, but I won't cross certain lines, such as overt sexuality. I just want to tell good jokes with Good Guy, so even if you're not a Christian, you can hopefully still enjoy this comic. My faith is a given, but I won't get preachy. Although I take God seriously, I try not to take myself too seriously. So if I manage to offend you, please don't make a big deal about it.
As far as my comment on New Nation goes, however tempting as it was, I did not feel it was appropriate to continue a debate on New Nation's site. But if you're interested in what my reply would have been, read on. As a student of psychology, theology, and some philosophy, I try to present my faith reasonably, although there are some matters that must first be believed to understand, as Augustine or Kierkegaard would argue. I agree with Dumok's reply about moderation, but mostly when it comes to fulfilling pleasures and needs. Aside from that, we ought to order our loves by what are most valuable: God, people, animals, and the rest of creation. Therefore, I believe that we ought to be extreme in our love of God, which would therefore trickle down to proper love in the other areas. This type of love, of course, is a choice, not something we force on others. Extreme “Christians” who kill witches are actually extreme hypocrites. For a Christian, by definition, is a follower of Christ's example, which was extreme in love and humility. However, God also leaves room for justice, so I don't believe Christians ought to be wimps, either. If you really believe you found the truth, wouldn't you give your life for it and live by it? And if you truly believe something to be evil, wouldn't you fight against it? Or if you believed something was absolutely right, shouldn't you stand for it? So if we disagree with a fundamentalist, we shouldn't debate over their fundamentalism (if they truly are sticking to the tenets of their faith) but rather the reason and content of their convictions. Over these matters we ought to peacefully dialogue.
Anyway, that was a long post. Enjoy the comic!

Symple Simon: Yeah, it looks like Good Guy is cursed with the "gift" of celibacy. Cartoonist Will: Can't wait to check out Gospelman when it comes out.

Oh my... That is certainly NOT a good pick up line. Also, awesome post! I could kind of tell maybe you were a Christian. Now that I know, do you remember that superhero I told you I'm developing but haven't unveiled to the world yet? Yeah, that's Gospelman. I'm trying to make a Christian superhero, which explains why both our heroes have a big "G" on their chest. Otherwise the designs just kind of came out similar. It still needs more developing.

UP! All it would have taken was that one more word...too bad, looks like GG will be single all his life.
