This was suppose to be a splash page, which is the first panel, but I added the additional panels as I made some amendments to the script for the next page.
Don't really like the second panel on hindsight, thought it doesn't add much to the story… hmmm…

The 2nd panel is worth it just for the perspective alone. And the great lighting/color effects continue. The third panel makes him seem more human for the first time... :)

CoyoteLongshot - It's a classic Wally Wood '3 stage panel'.

I especially like the foreground/background element you have going on in that first panel.

I actually liked the first panel best. As I was rendering it, I thought it would be nice if I can stay there. Yes, the flowers are for his beloved ______ ... stay tuned!

I disagree as well...not just for the sake of the log but just showing the minute detail of his life...the chores and such which helps define the character and helps the reader connect with him/her. plus visual that second panel is the most stunning out all 3 panel illustrations in my opinion. now he said we...so are the flowers for his beloved?

DAJB: To a degree I suppose but sometimes am so engross in producing the work that I can no longer see what can or cannot be left to 'things that happen' in between panels. I've seen some comics that are quite disjointed, but neither do I want this to be too step by step...no wonder they have editors, lol.

I disagree. The second panel means we're not left wondering what happened to the log when he arrives at the cottage. (People notice these things!) Beautiful page. But I'm sure you know that!

Awesome page, nevertheless!
