Seems like Titan set off the alarm there, eh? There are more subtle ways to open doors, I guess.

On a sad note, HA didn't win a DD award, as you might have found out by now. Well, I guess it could be worse than losing to Off Hours (congrats)! Anyway… there's an HA “acceptance speech” page which Hero, fukujinzuke and I put together, which you can read here. When I was a kid, this kind of thing was called “elseworlds” ;-)

Heh. When [i]I[/i] was a kid, there was no such thing as continuity, so Elseworlds weren't necessary!

Guess Change was not the most trusted collaborator...! DD Awards: I think part of HA's disadvantage is that the plot is still unfolding in the early stages. I mean, we're still in team-building while some of the competition like Off-Hours and Crossoverlord have finished complete plots. On another note, I know a bunch of us nominated this one for Best Community, but I also think that we can also seriously consider nominating this series for other categories as well (i.e. Best Superhero, Best Dialog, maybe even Best Action after a few more chapters unfold) Well, let's see... 52 weeks in a year minus August to mid-Sept (6 weeks), that's 46 weeks X 2 releases per week, that's 92 pages of Heroes Alliance (subject to unexpected hiatus) where we all put our best efforts together to really put on a show for the DD judges... So for artists, when you get that page assignment for your art, try to finish early, then take the next day to look at your work and find topical/cosmetic ways that might improve it (add lighting/shading/clean up lineart/maybe even redo a panel to introduce more dramatic angles or dynamic action poses). Maybe even ask fellow HA artists for feedback on your "draft" page, or as the one giving feedback, seriously provide constructive criticism along with your compliments to help your fellow artist improve their skills and page. I know it sounds time-consuming, but I just thought I'd put it out there.
