There goes the flashlight! Will we ever see it again?

Remember what I wrote about character design yesterday? Well, it's not easy being vague. There's only so much vagueness you can ever afford. General body and facial shapes, hair style, clothing etc., all of that has to be accounted for. I'm not saying I'm the best designer there is, I'm just saying these are problems I need to feel I've solved before I can commit to drawing a character. So, in giving the comic a consistent look, I'd have to match the general style of the character, but beyond the style, there also has to be a relatable substance beneath it. For example, main characters shouldn't look too “specific”, so coming up with a design that's substantially different from your previous protagonists (in my case, Ed from signifikat) isn't the easiest thing to do. Well, okay… changing light to dark hair is! ^_^
