Yeah, I definitely agree with everything on this page - except one part about fundamentalists, but I agree with all the rest (I don't like it when people are hypocrites and hateful in Jesus name either; you get a gold star for exposing Pat and other so-called christians' hypocrisies). I disagree you claiming that ALL fundamentalists are anti-Christian and anti-American. In truth, I've met a few unsavory "fundamentalists," but just like there are false-Christians, there are also false-fundamentalists. There are quite a large amount of fundamentalists that would agree with a lot of what you have said in these pages (but not all of it, probably; hey, some is better than none). As a matter of fact, I've NEVER considered Pat Robertson to be a fundamentalist. And, hey, what is a fundamentalist, anyway? Well, if it's what you claimed a few pages back ... then fundamentalists should be obeying Christ's teaching if they really do believe that way. Therefore Pat Robertson and other anti-Christs are NOT fundamentalists nor Christian nor any other word they commonly use for themselves. Am I a fundamentalist? I'm not sure, but I'd never use that word for myself. I think it's confusing and brings up incorrect connotations (this page being an example). That and I've never really known exactly what one was. The word means to say that they hold to the fundamentals of the Christian faith (like you mentioned) but too many of them also hold to man-made traditions and things that just plain aren't in the Bible (Rock'n'Roll and dancing is sin, private television is okay but public movie theaters are sin, electric guitars and motorcycles are sin, opposite gender swimming pools is sin, etc, and also in some cases they allow a lot of hatred). Which is why, like you I assume, I don't like to be thought of as a fundamentalist. Because they are no longer REAL fundamentalists. The same could be said of the words "Christian" or "Born Again" or "Baptist" or "protestant" or just about any other word used these days. But the problem is not in what the people call themselves, but in whether or not those people are living up to their name and calling in Jesus Christ. Sadly most are not. But we can choose to do so ourselves. So, it's not fair to say that ALL "Christians" or "Followers of The Way" or whatever are this or that. But it would be correct to say that all of them SHOULD be truly following Jesus Christ. But sadly usually aren't. Which is why, no matter what we call ourselves as believers in Jesus and His teachings, someone in our group will always give us a bad name by being hypocritical.
