Drowning the Government

Grover Norquist is the “genius” who said he wanted to make the government so small he could “drag it into the bathroom and drown it in the bathtub.” He has a meeting with Administration officials every Wednesday. If you want to see a painfully ironic example of “drowning” government through starvation, just look what happens when you prefer tax cuts over infrastructure maintenance. Just look at 35W.

I'm sure that as soon as Haliburton can ship some crews back here they will get right on fixing both this and the rest of the damage from Katrina. Now here's an idea for them, why don't they hire Iraq crews to bring over here to do work like this, then have Blackwater hire some home security detail to be sure they stay where they are supposed to. An obvious win-win the imported workers send money home to fund things in Iraq and we get more trained black shirt gestapo. Great Idea, No!
