6.008 - Chicago's A-List

Cast your mind back to Chicago, Illinois in, let's say 1999.
Maybe the far-flung year of 2000.

At the turn of the century/millennium, Pantheon X were basically The Avengers or The Justice League - and they worked out of Chicago.
The leader, Adam Alpha was a Superman-type flying brick, as was Heracles.
Capacitor absorbed projected energy and catalyzed it into brute strength and skin density (that's why she's purple. Just go with it.)
Kid Zeus, an electrokinetic/electromagnetic energy caster, also had a degree of super strength.
Venus Rex didn't actually come from Venus, but the spin doctors decided that humanity wasn't ready at that time to know of or TRUST the existence of life from beyond the Milky Way. So “Venusian Manhunter” was easier to digest. Particularly since there had been a couple of invasion attempts from other galaxies. VR was a friendly “neighbor”.
Cryogen's name is self explanatory. She was the closest thing this team got to a sassy comic relief character. (Not that you'd know it later on.)
And Blackbird, whom you'll be learning more about soon.
