And here is AfterDark's finl installment. Is it me, or did he manage to top himself with each installment? And, like Okoyaki's run, he has introduced a great new character.
It was a real privilege to have AfterDark here. As I stated before, I'm a big fan of his work. I loved the darker-tone he brought to the comic. Those signs in the background are great! Am I right?
Please check out his “Twisted Mind of a Stranger” comic. It really is wonderful.
I'll be back on Monday, and will try to get out 2-3 new strips next week. I'm thinking Monday, Thursday, Saturday,….
There are some other guest submissions waiting in the wings, but I'm going to hold those back for a bit. If anyone still wants to contribute, even a sketch, pin-up, or even a gag…you can email me at kosmixbook@gmail.com.
Great job AfterDark. You real “took the ball”, and ran and ran, and ran and ran, and ran and ran, etc…
with it!

Doesn't understand any language, not even his own. I've met people like that.

I love the sign in the final panel.

Absolutely right--they are a takeoff of the old Burma-Shave roadsign jingles from 1925+. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/1/11/BurmaShaveSigns_Route66.jpg

Those sign gags are called "Extras", and were introduced as a concept by the original Mad Magazine comic book back in the 50s, I belive Wallace Wood was among the first to use them.
