I worked at this bbq place, and there was a turkey club sandwich on the menu for people that didn't eat bbq. Why you would go to a bbq place and not eat bbq is beyond me. It was the only thing we didn't actually make. We would have plenty of smoked: pork, brisket, chicken, etc….and yet these ignorant dip-sticks would come in, in droves, and order this tired/processed turkey sandwich. As if that wasn't bad enough, they would order it with, “no bacon”, or “two slices of bread”, or “no mayo”. WTF?!
LOOK!
Don't enter a bbq establishment with the intention of eating healthy. Go to Subway, or something. It's laughable. We were tolerant enough up here ( being in the Northeast), but I'm pretty sure that type of behavior will get you killed south of the Mason-Dixon line.
Idiots!

My guess is that they just like going into a fast food place and order healthy stuff as a way to feel superior.

Being from Texas, if there is turkey at a BBQ joint, it's going to be smoked or BBQ'd turkey... but agreed... if you are going to eat BBQ, it either goes 'moo' or 'oink' and maybe a little 'cluck, cluck'
