From the outside perspective, it is ridiculous to even think of notions of honour for these partially-lobotomised and augmented cyborgs, but I suppose that these values mean even more to them because there was hardly anything else left for them to live for.

An Alkerran isn't lobotomized or augmented. They are trained and conditioned from birth. The femoids are a short cut to Alkerran and blade master perfection. Vera is also well trained. She is in total control of her robofemoid augmentation the programming having been removed. However it remains quite ridiculous.

Vera does have a soft side. She's also had relationships with Jenny from Tales of SIG as well as Searsha. But like all Aordians she is pansexual and the medtech here was also a lover at one point. Remember Aordians do not have long term romantic relationships but a series of short term affairs often measured in weeks and months and rarely ever in years.
