Installation, It’s Good for Your Health

Word of advice, if you’ve got the bones to walk your suburban bred Escalade driving carcass into a store and drop two G’s on overpriced stereo equipment, do yourself a favor and spring to have it installed professionally.
I don’t know how common this is in other places, but when we worked in Retail I can’t tell you how many times I sold subwoofers, or an amp, or a head unit to someone only to have them explain to me that they were going to install it in the parking lot.
At first I thought this was odd. I asked my self “Why the parking lot?†The answer soon became clear. The reason they did it in the parking lot is because they had about as much business installing stereo equipment as I have trying to assemble a nuclear weapon.
These people, usually suburban kids with their parents money, would inevitably return the merchandise fifteen minutes later saying “it was like that when I got it out of the boxâ€Â. I’m talking about the kind of people I imagine saying things like “Get mah K-Fed on.â€Â
