LOUD LOUD LOUD. That's all I got out of visiting the pachinko parlor while I was there. That and a lot of confusion- I had no idea what I was doing as all the silver balls were dropping and the pretty lights were flashing!

SilverWordz -- Since gambling for money at Pachinko halls is not legal here in Japan, You receive prizes for a certain number of silver balls (approx 1500 to a tray) The "large prizes" are these little squares which you can go outside the hall and redeem for cash at this little booth. They "buy" them from you based on the color of the the tab on the outside. Great strip and IMO it is a great basic explaination but it gets VERY involved with people losing a LOT of money at them.

It's gambling! Some people are just sucked right in. But what are the prizes or do you get cash back? I always got the impression that it was kinda like the arcades here where you can win tickets and then trade them in for cheap little toys or so.

hahaha If I were in Japan, i'd be at the Pachinko machines, cause they look pretty ^^ rofl It sure is a smart way to draw customers and keep them motivated to play :3

Fantastic! Not only did I learn the fascinating history of pachinko, but I got to see a guy blow his wallet in five minutes!
