I am sad to report that Jim Reaper artist Mathieu Benoit will no longer be our artist.
Happily, I have found a wonderful replacement for Mathieu that I am CERTAIN everyone will be happy with.
In honor of the fine work Mathieu provided for this strip, I have decided to present the following story in black-and-white so you can admire Mathieu's strong line-work.
We'll miss you, buddy. Thank you for the phenomenal job you did!
Sincerely,
Dwight L. MacPherson

You know I had no idea who were satirizing until several attempts at google prompted a name. I still don't know who this guy is. Kinda sad considering I want to become a comic book artist one day, but I seldom note who writes, draws, or inks the books I read. Maybe I should start taking note.... Regardless I think too many people idolize others too easily.

Wow you got hate mail for this? Drunk Duck is a fun site isn't it :)

Thanks for the comment, bro! Well... there are people out there who think of Ellis as a god--and they don't like anyone to mess with him. hahaha I call them "Radical Ellisites." I'm kidding, of course. Thanks again for checking it out! Dwight L. MacPherson

I can't see anything to get irate over this comic... I mean, that's a pretty typical situation at any book signing anywhere. Maybe it's the balls thing? I dunno... Anyway, thanls for the welcome on the Silentdevil forum man. ^_^

Wow. I've gotten a few hate mails over this strip. Come on, people... Perhaps Andy Kaufman was correct when he said "Satire is a concept that can only be understood by adults." I have nothing but respect for Mr. Ellis, so please don't read anything into this. This is a comedy strip and I thought it would be cool to interject a well-known comic book writer into the story. To those who hate, please check the definition of "satire" and get back to me. I apologize if this sounds rude, but if you read these e-mails, you would empathize with my tone. Thanks for your understanding, Dwight L. MacPherson
