Oh man, as soon as I declare weekly updates all hell breaks loose! That declaration still stands though, so this comic will be updated weekly if it kills me (which it is)
Well first, I had to go back and fix some mistakes on pages 23 and 25, which is why they're being registered as new. Deleting the pages deleted all my favs and comments though, which sucks.
This page was nuts. I'm out of bristol board now, so I had to draw this page on A3 sized paper (that's 11x17) which is a lot of fun until it's time to scan the shit. My scanner is 8.5x11 so I had to scan this page in chunks and then piece it back together in photoshop. Also, because of the size difference, I had to make my word balloons in photoshop instead of just drawing them on the page, which turns out to be a huge pain in the ass.
There's got to be an easier way!

Interesting comic series. ^__^ Keep at it and stuff ^__^

To make it easier on your scanning, take your artwork to Staples, Kinko's or such; photocopy & shrink it to 64% and it'll be paper sized for you to scan with no problem.

Awesome, comic. I use 11x17 bristol board too. What I do is scan the page sideways so that I only have to scan the top half and bottom half. I would use smaller paper, but I like drawing that big. It makes it easier to put in details and stuff like that. Oh, and I put it together in photoshop.

Great work. I love her carefree attitude.

Patrickdevine: Yeah, usually that's what I'll do for large format pages, but I didn't want to wait till the next day for office depot to open. Jabali: I figured I would get about the same results working in photoshop; I used the shape tool with a black outline. haha, rating my own page: 5!

Have you tried photocopying the line work at 65% and scanning that?
Jabali at 12:34PM, June 4, 2008

I don't use bristle board no more cause of the size. Like you said scanning is hard to do. I use 8x11 typing paper. You just draw, ink and scan and thats it! Love your work.
