That first panel, depicting the versions of Tempore splitting off as he makes a decision, was an image I'd originally wanted for the beginning of the comic. However, it works here, I think. I don't know why I didn't include his dialogue I had initially, about how he despises the other versions of himself for not attending to the matter.
I got very used to drawing Tempore's hand here. Why does he have two thumbs? Because I thought it looked nicely alien. It compliments his odd design, which is humanish, but not human. After all, he has a mouth that looks like a perpetual scowl and eyes that look perpetually squeezed shut. Why shouldn't he have two thumbs? Besides, it gives a symmetrical look to his hands, furthering the “order” to his being. Yeah, that's it.
Tomorrow: The disturbance.
