Hey, a splash page. I never do those, right? It's not like I've had them in every issue, or anything, with issue 1 being mostly splash pages…
Sorry about that. But I wanted a reveal and a place to put the title. At least it's not in the middle of the issue. But at least you get a scope for the size of the bar. It's been said by some people in Redding that Club 501 is described quite well by Ke$ha's “Take it Off” (it's a place downtown where the people come around, it's a hole in the wall, it can often be a dirty free-for-all–heck, there's even been glitter on the floor), and she likely has never even heard of Redding, let alone been to the bar. It's small, so at least I didn't have to draw anything huge–I'm kind of bad at that at times (and other times, I'm bad at making something look small).
Also, it looks like I have my first real cameo on this page: it's Flamer! He's a member of the Fab Five, a superhero team in Essaybee's fun comic Fusion. I'm grateful to him for letting me cameo his character. And if you can read the copyright text, you'll see all the characters I'm cameoing and referencing. It's been fun to actually get to these, because it's both fun to draw other people's characters and also to tie into the other superheroes out there. Cameos are fun!
Plus, Hogan of the Crossover and Cameo Archive is going to start eyeing me when sharpening his axe. It's always nice to be noticed.

Charisma doesn't appear in person. I actually didn't ask Stephen for a cameo because she only appears as a song playing on the jukebox. But I do wonder if Mindmistress and Charisma will ever meet.

You snagged some great cameos there. I can't wait to see how MM and Charisma Epoch interact. If anything like their normal personalities, it should be fun to watch. Can't say I know a lot about Flamer, but Essay's comic is awesome and went on my fave list right away. Anyhow, this should be a good read.

Well, it's nice to see the fine print is legible. And I was going to go to the forum to tell you about this page just now. You seem to have beat me to the punch. The other cameos mentioned are obviously on other pages. I'm planning on having each page (except for the one yesterday) have a cameo, though some will be carry-over appearances. And I'm putting in Jenny Everywhere in part because I don't have to ask for permission. She'll be coming in a few pages down the line, the last character I'm cameoing.

... I happened to read the fine print before I read the comments to the comic, and I had already taken out my wetstone at that point... *sighs* another one for the list...
