If you could see and hear everything in the universe, unable to turn it off, I'm sure there would be some people you'd want eliminated. Remember, Masticator eats the flesh of people, the more innocent the better for him, so he generally targets children. Having to witness as he does that over and over would be quite something terrible to endure.
