Beautiful use of black space. I gave up using black space some time ago, as it was just another place for my loose shadow to hide from me. I was having the same sort of loose shadow problems Peter Pan did, only my shadow was regularly pissing in my milk and juice cartons. Not too Disneyesque.

I had the same loose shadow problems as Peter Pan XD I really understand you. The solid black technique is my weakness (flat colors as well). But if it fits the story well, I'll force me to learn how doing it ^^ I found out the black shadow is easier to deal in composition that reminds something more "designer stuff", you know what I'm saying? Designer stuff is, for me, something like a poster and minimalist composition. Does it make sense?
