Final Push

Okay, this is long overdue.
This might be my most dynamic page yet. But I'm never gonna do it this way again.
Like I was saying before, I feel like (and I am sure a lot of you out there too) my sketchbook has a livelier, more motion-filled feel than my comic pages. I guess when I'm drawing on the comic page, I stiffen up. I'm always like “this is it.. this has to be perfect. my lines should be great… each figure should be awesome…” and that causes the drawings to be not as bad ass as when i'm all like
“whatever, dude.. this is just a sketch. i just wanna see how it will show up on paper…”
so I'll just try to be more dynamic on the comic book paper. scanning from the sketchbook, editing the panels, adding the word balloons and directly painting it on photoshop just takes FOR-EVV-EERRR!!!
next page will be a teeny bit late too. I'm doing this benefit for flood victims. I'm supposed to donate artwork and I haven't even started on it. It's for a good cause so don't be too angry with my lateness.
Love and Party On!

I'm an animator. Not that great at single panel, mostly because I'm very wordy. LOL. I'm multi-media artist which includes animation, photography, art, computers. I've worked on Super Computers in Maui, whicc is used for making animation. It may personally am not good at single panel, that I see much more positive attributes to the above-mentions "stiffing up." These are the positives I like about your work: 1. I feel the dynamics of characters pop w/o reading the ballons. 2. I'm actually fascinated by the way you used the space. Meaning, I like the window (blow up), and the non-linear way you presented it. 3. I think it is unique, and single panel, from what I've been told are presented differently by nature. So lack fluidity is not an issue to me. 4. It is painterly, meaning you used composition techniques that painters use, which I think makes even more unique, and a better panel. Peace ~D~ www.artlinkgallery.com

The trick is to pretend you're just sketching when you do a comic. :3 Good luck with the benefit! :D I hope you raise a lot of money. ^^

Great page! I agree that it's dynamic. And yeah, I get you; I always stiffen up over my art. But don't worry, it's still a great comic, and I'm intrigued as to both the backstory and where it's going :D
